Local band, Fidalgo Swing, is a musical portal, transporting you back to when swing music was THE sound, the genre that is currently enjoying a revival.

The idea behind Fidalgo Swing was to create a big band sound with only three to five members: Allen Lewis and Aaron Howell creating the call, response and solos of a horn section on guitars, Jake Baird holding down a strong beat on double bass, Beth Baker styling the vocals and as a quintet, Phil Nakano on soprano and tenor sax, flute, vocals and percussion.

This performance is part of the monthly concert series sponsored by the Manieri Jazz Foundation.
