The WWU Faculty Jazz Collective under the leadership of Jazz Studies Program director Mike Allen on tenor sax, features the exciting and always swinging drumming of Julian MacDonough, and the driving bass melodies of Seattle bassist, Chuck Kistler.

The Faculty Jazz Collective trio has performed throughout the past year at the Blue Horse Gallery in Bellingham as part of its outreach efforts to build strong ties in the local community and give students the opportunity hear their professors playing live jazz weekly “out on the scene”. The group’s song list includes such favorites as “On The Sunny Side Of The Street” and Dizzy Gillespie’s “A Night In Tunisea”.

This performance is part of the monthly concert series sponsored by the Manieri Jazz Foundation.
